The Malden Reads project is a community reading program to encourage reading, promote the Malden Public Library, and bring the community together to participate in a series of events related to the book’s theme. Outcasts United: A Refugee Team, An American Town is this year’s reading selection that explores the themes of cultural diversity, cultural awareness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
A Soccer Extravaganza will be held on Sunday, April 29 from 1PM to 5PM at the Salemwood School (529 Salem Street) gym and cafeteria as one of the Malden Reads events for the book. There will various activities for youths of all ages and performances from various groups. In addition, our school will be bringing a group to perform on Sunday. We would love for everyone to go to this great event and support not only our school but the larger community as well.
