Programs:

Traditional Kung Fu Group Program
Students will learn kung fu in a group setting in the most traditional ways, passed down from many generations of the Wah Lum System. Students will build a strong and diverse repertoire of kung fu fundamentals through basic exercises, hand & weapon forms, and self-defense. Training is vigorous and rigorous but fun and meaningful; students are expected to progress at their individual pace. Over time and through hard work, students will achieve high level of kung fu and its philosophyƑachieving great strength, physical stamina, and flexibility, and possessing both strong internal and external commands of power and techniques.
Youth/Junior Kung Fu Group Program
For ages 7 to 17 yrs old. Youth and junior students will learn kung fu as described in the Traditional Kung Fu Program. Since young people are still developing physically, mentally, and emotionally, kung fu training for them will also gear towards their personal growth. Some students may even be challenged more in different ways to motivate and aspire them to their natural talents and abilities. All students will develop at their individual pace and are expected to learn respect, patience and control, teamwork, self-discipline, and hard work. The program will help young people gain self-confidence and esteem and develop healthily through meaningful and fun kung fu training.
Adult Basic Kung Fu Group Program
Recommended for ages 50 and up or for those who have physical concerns related to strenuous physical activities due to past injuries or for those who would just like to have a good workout from doing kung fu basic exercises and fundamental training. Kung fu fundamental training and learning will not be negotiated but the pace and work level will not be as challenging as the traditional program. Hand and weapon forms may or may not be a main focus depending on individual students. Students will still have a good understanding and command of basic kung fu techniques through practice and hard work. Workouts will also be personally meaningful and fun.
'Little Mantis' Pee Wee Program
For Ages 3 to 6 yrs old. Preschoolers and kindergarteners will learn selected kung fu fundamentals appropriate for their age through fun physical exercises and games designed to aid them in their early development. Classes will teach about respect and hard work and inspire social interactions, self-discipline, and self-motivation. Students will gain a better sense of body coordination, build interest to learn kung fu, and develop good basics to prepare them for traditional kung fu training when they are old enough to participate meaningfully.
Kung Fu Private Instruction
Private students will receive weekly one-on-one special attention with Sifu to be coached and moved along in the curriculum at a faster pace, if necessary. Students can but are not required to participate in group classes. Attending group classes is highly recommended.
Tai Chi Group Program
Recommended for ages 10 and up. Students will learn Yang Style Tai Chi as an internal art in a group setting. Classes will teach tai chi basics as a part of class exercises and teach Yang Style forms, including Yang Style 24-Movements, 42-Movements, 108-Movements, Straight-edged sword, Broadsword. classes will progress at a modest pace to ensure meaningful practices of forms to achieve a good understanding of techniques, style, and applications.
Tai Chi Private Instruction
Private students will only learn one-on-one with Sifu on a weekly basis or as scheduled.
